Suspiria Screening and Movement Lab
OCTOBER 26 // 6:30PM // 100 BROAD ST
For artists, movers, writers, body workers, social activists and cultural critics:
Come participate in a movement lab inspired by Dario Argento’s film Suspiria, followed by a screening of the film. [ $5 suggested donation ]
This movement lab facilitates space and time to explore questions surrounding gender, identity, fear, and pain–exploring cultural narratives through bodily experience. We will work both non-verbally and verbally; time will be set aside for discussion, writing and other forms of creative articulation. Movers of all levels and capabilities are welcome.
This lab is created and hosted by Aida Curtis. Curtis is an Atlanta-based artist interested in the intersections between language, movement, and cultural analysis. She is a Yoga instructor at Balance Yoga Atlanta, and is completing her candidacy in Movement Analysis and Somatic Movement Therapy/Education through the Integrated Movement Studies Institute.
